A massive push has been initiated to teach students and teachers how to use AI.  And in that push, we have almost wholly neglected a more important question~doubledash~“What AI is doing to us?”  AI Literacy is understanding how AI shapes the way we think, connect, and engage as citizens, and may be the most urgent aspect of AI instruction we are not doing.  Through structured discussion and collaborative work, participants will examine what AI genuinely gives and what it quietly takes away across three areas: cognition, social connection, and civic life. Participants will leave with a concrete set of classroom practices that strengthen AI Literacy skills and deliberately cultivate the human connections AI cannot replace.

This session explores how inclusive education serves as both a mindset and a set of actionable practices that benefit all learners. Participants will deepen their understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), access points, and barrier-responsive instructional strategies that promote meaningful participation and progress for students with disabilities. Through reflection and application, educators will examine their own beliefs and practices, identify opportunities for growth, and develop practical next steps to strengthen inclusive classroom implementation. This session emphasizes collaboration, intentional planning, and the use of evidence-based strategies to ensure all students can access, engage in, and succeed within the general education setting.

Strong MTSS implementation depends on more than collecting data. It requires collaborative teams that know how to turn data into action. In this session, school-based leaders and educators will explore how effective building and grade-level teams can drive continuous improvement and accelerate student reading growth. Participants will learn practical structures for establishing and sustaining collaborative teams, including sample meeting agendas and data discussion protocols that support effective decision-making. Through an emphasis on the collaborative improvement cycle, this session will help educators move beyond simply explaining the data to actively using the data to strengthen instruction, target supports and improve outcomes for all students.

Knowledge of fractions and of division continues to be a strong predictor in other gateway mathematics courses, even 5-6 years later. Educators also misinterpret 'fluency' as the application of standard algorithms and procedures, rather than the conceptual understanding of underlying mathematical connections. Join me as we work through a progression of dividing fraction problems, using visual representations to unpack the meaning of this most misinterpreted of topics.
